- How acrobatic!  A magician and a cat in a short haired carpet world urgently want a word with you.  Urgently, because what you see is a frozen moment in time of a world in expansion, a background radiation from one of the places we visit when we sleep.  When you look next it may all have vanished, all but the cat.  If you're not the dreamy kind, don't bother, because quite frankly, these things would like a low key chat with the place in your mind that knows a different kind of time and counts minutes in a bent kind of a way. 

We welcome you to meet the menagerie inside the world of Miklimeir. The project presents a large 18m2 printed rug produced by danish manufacturer Ege and a series of furniture in bent steel.  Miklimeir was exhibited in Spark Design Space, Reykjavik in 2011. The Miklimeir artwork combines layers of flora and fauna with symbols and creatures derived from mythology and Ólína's own previous work.  

The carpet depicts the creative performance of the magician Miklimeir that visually flows around the figure of 8. He is seen suspended in mid-air, big eyes and a toothy grin with his hands up in the air in an act of joy. He's about to break into a song and take up magic gardening to produce creatures from the strangest corners of existence. He then crowns his magnificent structure by the most wonderful puffy flower.  More
