Form follows Fantasy is a large graphic art commission from Katrín Ólína by industrial designer Michael Young, for his 2,000m² guest of honor exhibition at the Kortrijk Biennale, Belgium in 2002. The exhibition, which covered a 2,000m² space inside the Biennale venue featured types of cubic structures covered in Ólína's graphic art, that functioned as pavilions for Young's body of work. A back-lit fantasy was carved in Corian®, and a forest of two dimensional trees by Ólína and Young expressed the playful and artificial nature of the exhibition. Young&Beautiful cafe, designed by Young and Ólína, offered a choice of specially curated food. Young also collaborated with artist John Isaacs, Sony Aibo and Coca-Cola. about
