Dr. James clinic is an interior project designed by Michael Young and Katrín Ólína in Taipei, Taiwan 2005. The design of the interior explores graphic art in a commercial space through the use of high tech materials and technology. 

Dupont SGX laminates division and Dupont Corian®, both leading high tech companies in the field of material innovation, produced the floors and the illuminated walls of the space.  
The glass floor was the first of it’s type in the world using the Dupont SGX technology. The research and production process for the project took seven months.

The walls are clad in Corian® panels, and are fitted with a complex back lighting system that can be controlled to affect the intensity of the light in the rooms. The relief artwork for the panels features a complex diamond pattern.

All furniture for the project was designed specifically by Michael Young and was custom made by Cappellini , Poltana Frau and Magis in Italy.
